I found this on
Write out the names of your characters and explain
1) how you thought of their name
2) what made you create the character in the first place
3) how the character has changed over time (if they have changed)
4) any random fun fact about that character
Victor M. Mason!
1) I've always liked names that start with "V." I can't remember exactly how I came up with Victor in particular, but it sounded British and awesome. Mason (this is going to be great) actually came from Sean Connery's character in "The Rock." There, I said it.
And no, I haven't figured out exactly what his middle name is yet; something French.
2) ... do you all remember fanfiction? I used to write that. Victor actually started out in one of those stories as a vampire. An evil, sinister, puts out his cigarette on your face kind of vampire.
3) Besides the fact that he's not a vampire anymore? Well, he's no longer evil. In fact, he's the main hero of his story. No longer brash Victor is shy and quiet. His hair has changed a lot, but it's always been bright orange.
4. He's half-French and disgustingly rich.
Isaac "Ike" Jeremiah Lutwidge III
1) I can't for the life of me remember why I decided on Ike. It just seemed like an easy casual name for something big. Lutwidge came from Lewis Carroll; who's real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. I threw in Jeremiah and the "III" because it sounded snotty and that's just how his parents are.
2) Originally, in my first draft of "The Victor Story" Victor was the target of a cult and Ike was a part of this cult that then acted as a double agent type to keep Victor safe. He originally died, but then I fell in love and changed his character.
3) Ike has changed in many ways. Aside from not being in the aforementioned cult, he has become one of Victor's oldest and most loyal childhood friends. Where Victor is shy and reserved Ike is loud and wants attention.
4) Ike's family is also disgustingly rich but he was disowned at 16 when his father found out he was gay.
Loki Liddell
1) Loki originally comes from a deity of trickery, but I really just loved out it sounded. It's fun and bouncy and fit the character. Liddell also came from Lewis Carroll; Alice Liddell was the girl "Alice in Wonderland" was based off/written for.
2) Victor and Ike needed a female friend. That's how that happened.
3) She's changed in a lot of ways. The biggest of course is the fact that Victor has been in love with her since they were 13. This is one I tossed back and forth in my head, weighing the pros and cons of the relationship. Loki loves him, too, but is more concerned about making sure their friendship doesn't get compromised. Her hair also changes frequently.
4) Tells Ike everything.
... I have so many characters. I may do another; if people read this one.
